Hi ABCers
Time for a summary of the mileage travelled by ABC in April. By my reckoning the total for the month stands at 147 miles, but do let me know if any of you have any miles to add for April.
A quick summary of the month saw Harry find a new coffee shop (10 miles), Paul went to the Gateway Cafe (33miles) and, new to the riding ranks, Guy Vickerman in Queensland, Australia went . up Mount Glorious on a weekly coffee run (40 miles and 1000ft up!). I spent the month trying to route out the gremlins that had made a nest somewhere in WA and only managed some local test runs (34 miles).
First picture this month is of Guy's newly commissioned ABC at the Historic Motorcycle Club Queensland's Girder Rally (see also the "pin-up" photo for April). It is very interesting to see that Guy's machine not only has a larger front brake but also a damper on the rear suspension.
In between my various attempts to improve WA's starting and running I stopped on a test run and took the following "arty" shot because an ABC motorcycle still has a certain beauty even when its running rough!

Good morning all,
i have had another successful run up Mt Glorious again yesterday. I had fitted my reproduction standard accross frame silencer which allowed me to listen to the rattling of the valve gear and gear noise. Nothing alarming. It is a long and steep run requiring many gear changes. I am getting better at it now. Also a run to the cruise ship terminal at 'Luggage Point' (believe it or not) about 15 miles. All in all about 55 miles so far this month.

Hi All,
finally I’m throwing my hat into the ring.
After much fettling, my bike (XL) is out of the traps.
A huge thanks Paul, for his amazing technical skill. Huge patience, And superior choice of beer.
As an inaugural ride out, Paul and I rode our steeds out, and into the “Gloucestershire wilds”.
To the pub.
What a hoot. Both bikes went down very well, with the VMCC mob. And so did the bitter.
A splendid evening.
Nine whole miles.

Greetings all. Another run up Mt Glorious last Tuesday. A new exhaust system again which is structurally a little more sound and reduces pop back sounds lots. Brakes mmmmm! Working on it. Took the top off the g'box. All looks well oiled and spins smoothly. Leave it alone!
what next? Use it as much as possible till she is as relyable as all the others.
I am seriously impressed with the number of these wonderful machines are up and running. Keep it up lads and, hopefully, lassies.
