Hi ABCers
According to my records the total numbers of miles travelled by ABC during May was 326 miles! Special mention to Guy for covering 95 miles and Paul with 73. It was also very nice to hear that Keith, Alex and Tony all managed to find time to get out on their machines too.
First picture this month is of the general gathering of motorcycles at the VMCC Burton Parade with Paul's award winning machine literally taking centre stage.
Next picture is an action shot of Tony on MD (No.74) tackling the hill at the recent Aston Hill Climb 100 Celebration. I am reliably informed that MD performed well on the day much to the surprise of other riders on similarly aged bikes.
For the last picture this month - lets all just take 5 minutes to reflect on how useful it is to have footboards.
Finally, Keith is taking part in the Banbury run again this year and if you find yourself in the area I am sure he would welcome your support.
Also don't forget Founders Day on Sunday 20th July!

Hi ABCers
Just a quick mid-month update to let you all know that Keith entered the recent VMCC Banbury Run on Sunday 8th June and took part in the timed competitive run (70 miles). I am really pleased to be able to announce that Keith not only achieved a Gold Award (awarded to riders who arrive at the checkpoints no more than 3 minutes early or 5 minutes late) but also came joint first to win the Brian Moore Trophy (nearest to time at one or more checks and getting a Gold Award) and the Vintage Tyres Scheme Trophy (Best performance on an Early Vintage machine). Way to go Keith!
Below are some pictures of Keith in action from the day.

Good morning / evening to all you cheery ABCers.
ABC action to report in the Cotswolds UK.
A splendid ride out from Stroud to the Thames Head Pub.
Paul on his splendid ABC.
Myself on a very enthusiastic steed. The rough running from the week before, very easily rectified. A loose spark plug!
10 glorious miles to the pub. Paul chose a stunning route.
Followed by some glorious pints of ale.
XL (My ABC) was so enthusiastic about the return run, that upon push start, she took off without me! (Luckily not into a Vincent). And then a swift lie down, to recuperate. Luckily only a grazed knee for XL.
The other bikers enjoyed the theatre.
After all the excitement, a super ride home.
19miles each for Paul and I
Happy riding
Alex

I would love one of those 'T' shirts. Where do you get them?
i have been doing my weekly ride up Mt Glorious and back every Tuesday so 4 so far of 40mls and one trip to the Cruise Ship terminal, 15mls there and back so that makes 175mls so far this month. The bike is starting to settle in nicely and has much more 'plonk' the more it gets used. A big hill this. Unfortunately next Tuesday is the 1st.
The last two trips I have had to do nothing but this week will require adjusting the front wheel bearings and the tappets. They seem to work really well now the springs are upside down!! Much less mass for the poor cams to have to deal with.
Does anyone know what the float level should be?
