Hi ABCers

November is really all about Andrew Cox and the mileage that he covered in the Chiltern Rally organised by the Vintage Motorcycle Club of Victoria. During this weekend event Andrew covered an impressive 196 miles. By way of a contrast I managed just 3miles for the whole month! If any of you other ABCers in the Southern Hemisphere wan to add to this please do let me know.

First picture this month is of Andrew on his ABC somewhere in Victoria, Australia under a beautiful blue sky. A wonderful day to go ABCing.

Second picture this month is of WA at the local beach on a bright but cold morning. You can just see part of Southampton container terminal in the background, lovely.

The Hunters Hall Inn (Kingscote, in Glos.) Boxing Day mega-meet of bikes 'n blokes was treated this year to the arrival of not one, but TWO Sopwiths! Wow!
I'm claiming a modest 16 miles for my safari, Alex on XL did significantly more.
My photos were crap, I'm sure that Alex's are much better: watch this space...

Well Hello there all you ABCers around the globe.  A splendid ride out on Boxing Day to intercept Paul.

Having not ridden XL since the super fun, highly recommended  Levis Cup, I was greatly surprised at the Enthusiasm at which XL cracked into life.  A seat bolt came out on the way, making my arrival a bit tardy.   I've gotta say though, that XL flew along, maybe the prospect of XL seeing her best friend (BF).
That said, my overconsumption of Brussels sprouts the previous day, had ensured a helping hand from the spirit of Sir Frank Whittle, for sure.
(The cars behind me were hanging well     back).
A hearty hungover 24 miles
Best
Alex

Hi ABCers

So now 2025 is done and dusted, the 2026 mileage challenge has already begun before I have even had chance to sum up December! So getting on with stuff, December saw a modest 78 miles travelled by ABCs with Andrew down in Australia once again leading the charge.

First couple of pictures for December are of Andrew's machine at what looks to be a well attended meet in Tooradin, Victoria, Australia. Lovely weather, very jealous.

Next a picture of WA at my local boxing day meet, which I suspect was a lot colder, but the cup of hot chocolate was very welcome.

Right, so moving on to the mileage totals for the year. Firstly, back in 2024 six ABCs took part, but in 2025 the number of active machines jumped up to ten! Thanks to all of you for taking the time to send in your mileages and photos and keeping the marque alive. If there are any other ABCers out there who haven't joined in the fun yet please do so and lets see if we can get more machines on the road in 2026 (thinking of you Giovanni!).

So the totals for 2025 are as follows:

Andrew Cox, Victoria, Australia - 508 miles (818 kms)
Phil Batten (EK), England - 506 miles
Harry Stitt (BE), Northern Island - 472 miles
Paul Button (BF), England - 386 miles
Guy Vickerman, Queensland, Australia - 340 miles (547 kms)
Peter Gillespie, South Africa - 280 miles (451 kms)
Tony Crump (MD), England - 238 miles
Alex Stewart (XL), England - 176 miles
Keith Sams (XB), England - 174 miles
Phil Batten (WA), England - 113 miles

Once again well done everyone and lets look forward to more ABC fun in the 2026.
