Thank you that may be very helpful. I'll pass on the message. Does anyone know where the Bee was used? It was part of military equipment, perhaps a s a standby generator, what vehicles, etc. was the Bee used with?

I believe the ABC Bee engine was used in the Blackburn Beverly transport aircraft of which only 49 were built. The sole survivor of the type is now at the Solway Aviation Museum in Cumbria. They may have a manual or possibly the RAF museum at Hendon.

Thank you. I'd forgotten about the Beverly. I'll try down that route too

Hello Bertie and Pino.
apologies for taking so long but I've finally gone through Kim Siddorns paperwork and found he recorded the existance of 3 Bee engines some 30 years ago. One is in the Isle of Man and the others have likely been sold by now.
There's not much when it comes to Bee engnes but hope the following will help:

More importantly your request helped me to uncover a partial catalogue which will be published on this website Catalogue's list as soon as I get some technical issues resolved. In the meantime, I hope you can do with these pictures:

Many thanks for this. I'm sure this will be helpful. A friend in Australia has been asked to put one of these engines into a small cyclecar, which should be interesting.

Very pleased to see Giovani has been able to post some documentation regarding the ABC V4 engine
This is very welcome to us at Milntown in the IoM as not been able to find anything about the engine in Bob Thomas’s notes.

There is a V4 at Milntown along with some brand new parts ( crankshaft, carb, cylinder barrel cylinder heads) which Bob probably acquired as ‘ Gov. Surplus’.

Bob also acquired some other ABC stationary engines, including a   complete aircraft ‘auxiliary power unit ‘ or ‘A.P.U.’  from a WW2 Sunderland  flying boat.
This is a flat twin which is connected t9 a dynamo, a fuel transfer pump and ( as the Sunderland was a flying boat - a bilge pump)
