I have just noticed that that document is AP1507B Vol.1 and 6. This is the Air Publication number for the Air Ministry manual. Volume 1 is usually the most useful document. Vol.6 may be a parts list or similar. These documents are often quite extensive and should give more info.  Does anyone have the rest of this document please?

Well spotted. That hint gave me the idea of searching at the National Archives and....there you can find them:  https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q=AP1507B&_sd=&_ed=&_hb=

You just beat me to it. I have spent years researching there. That was the first place I checked the other day but nothing come up, as I didn't have the AP number. Thanks again. I'll pass this on.

Further to Andrew Kelsey's note about the ex-Bob Thomas 'Bee' engine, all the spare parts were recovered by me from the ABC works in 1971 when they closed down.   I wasn't sure what a lot of them  were, but they looked too good to leave behind.   Checking later I surmised they  belonged to the 'Bee' engine, so passed them on to Bob.   Back in the 1970s I knew of four/five engines.  One in West Norwood, London, belonging to C Lorentzen, another in Wantage belonging to C Tuckey,  Bob's in IOM, and one or two at the Woking ATC.  I never saw the last two and they could have disappeared a long time ago!   I assume the Kim Siddorn engine was acquired from one of the above, whilst he also mentioned another engine powering a reconstruction of A V Roe's first aircraft at the Brooklands Museum.  Is that one still there?    There were minimal amounts of paperwork relating to the engine gathered from the works in 1971, but whatever there was, is now with the Brooklands Museum which included a part drawing.  Well done Giovani for sleuthing the National Archives.    I look forward to hearing about the final result of fitting one to a cyclecar - another Busy Bee?

Well done, Giovanni for your research and many thanks to David for the history behind the ‘Bee’ spares at Milntown.

The crankshaft is still has its protective paper on the journals and the cylinder heads etc are pristine.

David has previously suppled the Milntown volunteers with history on the two Milntown ABC cars - most notably it was he who alerted Bob that the 1924 Sporting Model had become available after Vic Derrington’s  demise  in the mid 70’s
Vic D had kept the car in his workshop in Kingston upon Thames for many years  to restore it post retirement.it even appears in a photograph in an article about Vic and his famous tuning business in Motor Sport April 1973)
