Hi Wolfgang,
Many thanks for the photos. I now realise I don’t have “ all the bits”. It’s even more complex in there than I first thought. I have access to an excellent fabricating engineer who may be able to help recreate the missing components. If anyone went through this exercise and/or can add any comments whatsoever I’d be very .grateful.
Regards,
Alan
Ps. not that it matters but my frame is 2651, not 2151 - senior moment!

Hi Wolfgang ( and others),
Many thanks for the dimensioned photos and sketches of the stand spring arrangement. Really very helpful. It turns out I’ve got everything except the torsion spring! I’m considering getting one or more made if I can persuade one of the spring makers I’ve used previously to take pity and not charge the earth. I wonder has anyone else found a replacement spring?
My first attempt at determining the spring length comes out at 70mm, but this is approximate so could do with verification, also further details of OD, wire diameter and leg dims. etc.
If you can help I’d be very grateful.
Regards,
Alan

Hello Peter
That would be a great help if you already have some spare springs.
With Wolfangs sketches a working stand would be with in reach!

Hello,
here are the measurements of my pen, it works well.
Note that the rod has to be much thinner than the inner diameter of the spring, because it gets smaller and blocks otherwise.
The outside diameter must not be bigger otherwise it does not fit into the tube of the stand.
Greeting
Wolfgang
