no good springs

Thanks- I seem to have located everything except the spring itself, which Peter is offering to supply in September.

I do not have an original stand.
Is the internal dia of the tube 18.7mm
so both end pieces will fit into them?
What is the wall thickness so i can
make mine strong enough!
What does the small spring and ball bearing do?
It must act as some kind of locator

here a few more sketches of my ABC stand, as it is with other ABC motorcycles I can't say, but it's all quite logical and works quite well.
I hope that I can help with it, also I can take much information from this forum to bring my motorcycle back on the road.

Hi,
This is for Peter Gillespie.

A few months back I asked for help on rebuilding the main stand spring mechanism, and I received lots of information from Wolfgang and others- many thanks to all.

Peter - you kindly offered to let me ( and Ian) have one of the main stand torsion springs you had made up.
This is just to re-establish contact ahead of September and confirm my interest in purchasing a spring when convenient.
What’s the best way to communicate on this? Happy to use the forum or more direct means if more convenient. Not sure what the protocol is!
