Recently our Phil Batten sent me two articles which appeared on the Norton Owners Club magazine: Roadholder.
These have now been added to our list of Articles but turns out there is a greater story behind one of them.
William Southcombe and Peter Williams have published a book about 39 of our famous tuners entitled "The Tuners of a Golden Age". These are a reprint of William's articles for the Roadholder Magazine over the past 3 years, with a Preface, Forward and a chapter on the charity supported - " The TT Riders Association", plus index and Glossary.
The book is hard back, published by Mark Woodward and has over 100 pages and 110 photos. It costs £20 with ALL profits going to the TTRA ( about £12 per copy).
ABC and Granville are in it!!
This is the start of Bill's campaign to support the TTRA which helps our riders and their families in need.
He will be launching the book at the TTRA Lunch at the National Motorcycle Museum on 26th November 2022. The idea behind it was that of the late Peter Williams: 50 copies have been donated to the Association, plus two for The Auction. There's also hope to get all 600 lunchers to sign these two auctioned copies!
Perhaps you might find this a good cause to support at Xmas. Would certainly be a great help for those unfortunate TT riders and their families who paid a price for their endeavours.
The book can be purchased by sending cheques (paid to TT Riders Association) or cash to
