Hi ABCers
They say the month of March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb and in the world of ABC we have finished the month as lions! The grand total of miles covered by ABC in March was a massive 914 miles! The lion's share of this was ridden by Peter Gillespie on JHF and his friend Anton Blignaut on FGL in the 2026 Durban & Johannesburg Rally. Meanwhile at home Tony Crump on MD and Phil Batten on WA completed the much, much shorter Pioneer Plus run from Tattenham Corner, Epsom to Brighton City Airport.
Time for some pictures. This first picture is of Anton and Peter with their ABCs on what I presume was a local test run before the the DJ Rally. Peter has promised a full report on the event with some more pictures.
Next a picture taken at the start of the Sunbeam MCC's Pioneer Run. MD and WA were both entered in to the Pioneer Plus class for "new" bikes manufactured between 1915 and 1930.
As I write this in early April I am reminded that the clocks have gone forward and Easter is here and now is the time to dust off that ABC and take it for a spin around the block or to your local bike night. You won't regret it.

BF's April Account...No safaris this month, only a series of local rides, in fact to VMCC pubnights etc.: Hunters Hall Inn (Kingscote), The Ship (Brimscombe), The Old Crown (Paganhill), an Intersection Baton Relay meeting at "Jolly Nice" (Aston Down), and then the Bear Inn (Bisley, see picture), a total of 44 miles.

HI ABCers
Well after last months stratospheric mileage tally of 914 miles, which I think bears repeating, we're back down to a more sedate total of 94 miles for the month of April. The miles ridden in April were mainly by Paul on BF (please see his report) and myself on WA.
The first picture this month is of WA deep in the new forest on its way to a local vehicle show.
An the send image is a rare picture of me on WA actually on the move! Courtesy of JT Photography (thank you John).

Hi Keith
I have spoken with the mileage challenge judges and they would like to know what kind of burger you had and did it improve XB's performance on the way home. However, your claim for 1 mile using a starter roller has been rejected because they driven by an electric motor.
