founders day 2022

founders day for 2022 is booked again so anyone interested in taking anything

What a day on Sunday at Founders day.Keith managed to gather a great display of different bikes and we even received the visit of a cyclecar with an ABC car engine


For me it has been a great opportunity to meet up with people I have not seen in far too long but, as Paul said, seeing other bikes, and comparing them, and being able to ask questions and deliver criticism etc., benefited us all.

Ian started early in the morning by delivering some mechanical action and Keith carried on by taking his sidecar for a spin. Shame we could not replicate the picture on the homepage of this website but...he simply run out of fuel.


Last but not least, there was even a price for the best unwashed bike pre 1940


Well done Keith for organising the stand and getting us all together. I'm already looking forward to next year!

it was best pre war i won not oily rag, i won oily rag 2 years in succession and was going for a hat trick, dont know why they gave me best pre war, a 1960 gold star won best oily rag, did not look very oily to me but it was a nice gold star in good original condition no oil though.

Huh! It's your own fault. You let your oily rags dry out!
