hi i think the valve lifter is on the exhaust but not sure as i have never seen an exhaust over inlet engine.it looks as though it goes passed the inlet valve to the exhaust and there is a hole through the arm for thr inlet to operate. need someone with better eyes than i have. the bob thomas engine is a better image.
