ABC firefly 1916 the first run

ABC firefly 1916 the first run was created by degraaff
Made the first run at Ibbenburen- Germany Last weekend after only 500 yard test run on a flat road, it came to a stop at 30 km, one sparkplug gave up (didn't have a spare), brought back by the broomcar.
It was way to fast in first gear revving 4000 easy and only pulled second on flats so it needs a differend sprocket.
It had dry valve guids so it needs oil in the petrol.
This was on the Saterday- testday, i had a differend motorcycle on the 140km sunday mainrun.
You don't need a V5 at Ibbenburen just a day insurance, even a Norton Manx can ride there.

There are several faults; with 44mm stroke and 60mm bore it's a modern high revving machine, it has an sprocket oilpump followed by a dripfeed on a totalloss system.
That should be; oiltank under the engine, the pump taking oil from there streat in to the engine falling down back in to the oiltank, no useless dripfeed to stress the oilpumpgear.
I have chosen for a pressure releasevalve so the oilpump is staying alive, to be as close to the disign as possible.
Also the primary chain is on oneside of the tube the rearchain on the other, both should be outside.
The front springing dusn't allow a brake, i made endstops so it could.
With the gearing on the photo's it didn't pull secondgear uphill, so i am altering that now.
It's a lovely light machine.
