Brooklands Vintage & Veteran day 6th April 2025

We have planned a Vintage & Veteran day on the strength of the successful Sunbeam 100 event last March. It's being held in conjunction with the Sunbeam MCC, and we hope to include many more veteran era machines such as three-wheelers, cyclecars and light cars, plus even some early bicycles. We hope to show the lineage of the early machines and how they progressed from bicycles with engines strapped on, to other early attempts at powered wheeled machines. Naturally, we hope that ABC will be well represented!
But first and foremost it is a motorcycle day. Everything on site is strictly pre-1940.
Watch out for more details/booking arrangements.
Regards, Tony.

HI ABCers

A date for your diaries. On Sunday 6th April 2025 the Brooklands Museum will be holding a Vintage & Veteran Motorcycle Day and the ABC community has been invited providing a wonderful opportunity for our ABCs to return their spiritual home. As Tony has said in his previous post details have still to be worked out and more information will follow. However, what I can say that if the day is as much fun as the ABC Brooklands meet in 2023 then this should be a must on your 2025 calendar (not forgetting Founder's Day in July).

Hi ABCers

My copy of Old Bike Mart arrived in today's post with a nice big advert for the upcoming Veteran and Vintage Motorcycle Day at Brooklands on the 6th April.

I know its still early days yet but now is the time to start asking about who might be attending. This is important as it helps Brooklands gauge how much space they should allocate to the ABC community. Please express your interest either by replying to this post or emailing me at philbatt86@gmail.com. It goes without saying that we would like ABC to be well represented at this event.

I am told that they will be an opportunity to take part in the parade of bikes and a gymkhana or fun slalom event too. Of course if you are brave enough there will be a chance to have a crack at the Test Hill, which is a lot of fun and if you don't believe ask Paul!

Look forward to hearing from lots of you.

Phil

Hi Phil, Wild horses (or misbehaving Sopwiths) wouldn't keep me from this event! Count me in, please.
Brooklands Test Hill, know your conquerors! And meet more!                Paul.
