A Rob Harknett, of the pre-war AJS and Matchless group very kindly sent me a scanned copy of an early review of the ABC.
I've attached it as a PDF.
https://archive.org/details/motorcycle16lond_ 1916 (Vol 16)
to
https://archive.org/details/motorcycle29lond_ 1922 (Vol 29)
I can't seem to find a decent search on this site, but if you change the volume number, it works. I.e. motorcycle16lond_ is the crucial syntax, the number is the volume. So vol 17 would be motorcycle17lond_
There is a lot more information on this site, but the search is appalling. Type in Motorcycle and it comes up with hundreds of documents.
Hope this is of some use.
Nick

Sorry the Motorcycle PDF was 4mb. Couldn't upload it.
BUT, The scans came from the Jan 16 1919 and March 13 and March 20 1919. So, if you are interested, you can browse the linked volumes...
