I see on other sites they are having problems with modern petrol, there is more ethanol in as the oil companies say or it's destoying rubber, there is an easy solution.

Ethanol attracs water, it's also the otherway round making it easy to take the ethanol out and see how much is in the petrol.
Take a clear can, fill it half water half petrol, marker the line, shake it and the ethanol goes in to the water so you can see the amount it rises.
The underside is water so get a save amount of petrol out for a perfect ride, put new petrol in and repeat  .

There is no rubber on a abc unless you have replaced the feed pipe from steel to rubber as i have. The reason i have changed the pipe is to fit an inline filter that you can keep an eye on and change when required. This saves draining the petrol tank if you have a blockage, I always remove the filter on the fuel tap that is inside the tank as this is usually the cause of the blokage.
Last year i spoke to am local motorcycle dealer as one of the rubber feed pipes had failed and he commented that even the e type rubber pipe does not last long.
I replace it regular  (about once a year)  it cost all of £5 maximum
