Mystery museum motor was created by regabyneil


I just came across this motor. Looks interesting. The museum was closing so I just grabbed the chance to take these photos.

Nice find. Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like a 398cc used to drive a propeller.
Did you see any serial number or detail about where it came from?

Hi Neil,

That is really quite something! 
I had no idea about those at all!

Is the museum UK based?
Do you know their plans for this motor? 
I would be very interested in it for my collection if they are planning to liquidate some items.
