ABC engine removal was created by Andrew Cox
Hi
I have seen a picture of an ABC with the gearbox removed and the engine is left in the frame.
Question. What is the best way to remove the gearbox ?
Question. What is the best way to remove the engine and the gearbox in one piece ?
I am sure there are better ways than others.
All the best Andrew

the question is do you still have the weather shields on and if so good luck. if not you can remove the gearbox and bevel box easily by just supporting the engine you can even leave the exhaust and inlet manifold on. probably do the same with the shields on but it will take longer.make sure you support the bike as the stand will collapse when you take the rear unit bolts out.

Great thankyou.
However what do I do with the rear mounting plates?
Do then pivot around the swinging arm pivot bolt to enable the box to come out ? Or do I remove the swinging arm pivot bolt ?
Do I remove just the rear plates or others ?
