Kick starter information required for 1920ABC

Hello all
I have to make all the kick start parts as i have nothing
I have a copy of Les 's article from the vmcc mag
do any of you know how to make the geared quadrant?
Would a brass casting be ok for the kick start lever
How can you tell if the spring in the gear box is strong enough before you assemble it all
Any observations or comments would be greatly appreciated

Hi I have a spare casting I had done for my ABC in maliable steel if you need one.

Have you thought about making more than one kick start mechanism ?
I presume this is the UK type kick start ?
As I would like one if you did make another.
Also if Ian does not want the casting can I have it ?
