Engine removal was created by Andrew Cox
Hi
I have seen some pictures of an ABC with engine out of the frame but the gearbox still in.
When I dismantled my bike I took the engine and gearbox out as one unit.
What is the best way ?
I found the way I did it was very tight and difficult.

Also what is the best way to remove the petrol tank ?
Mine is such a tight fit that I damage the paint each time I do it .

Kind regards Andrew

i have taken the bevel gear part off and left the rest in but i think take the unit out is just as easy.
so you dont scratch the tank, take the engine out then remove the weather shields then the tank last, it a bit long winded but you dont scratch the tank,it is a bit difficult getting the front tank support on but it can be done, when you do it in reverse you are threading the weather shield up past the front and rear of the tank.
