New Cylinders

Hi All

As promised a while back, I want to move forward with getting a batch of new replacement cylinder barrels made (details are in the New pistons and cylinders "hands up" please post). The "hands up" post seamed to generate a fair bit interest. So if you are really interested please reply to this post by 14th August and I'll add you to the order.

Hi, interested, what was the price for a pair?

The cylinders barrels will be machined from EN16T steel with a natural steel finish and will be made with a bore of 68.0 mm ID to allow for choice of piston fit and possible future re-bores. The barrels will be based on my current examples from my 1921 machine and the expected lead time for manufacture will be 3 to 4 weeks from order, again depending on quantity ordered.

Please assume that the price will be £135.00 per barrel, but may change depending upon the final quantity manufactured.

Peter asked to post a note because he is just about complete with the manufacture of new barrels and he's made more than he needs with the intention to swap them for other parts.
He's currently riding his bike in Alaska but will be back in a few weeks.
