Back in 1970 "Veteran & Vintage Magazine" ran an illustrated two part article by D A Hales with the above title. I have both the relevant issues and am happy to put the article up here if there is any interest.
With pictures this runs to some 11 x A4 pages. Any interest?

Yes Keith, that's the one. As you say they also ran a certain percentage of motorcycle articles as well but these seemed to drop off somewhat in later years as the VMCC built up a head of steam.
I see you are the VMCC ABC Marque Specialist. I've been a member for many years and sometime way back there were a series of ABC restoration articles in the Journal. If you don't have them could dig those out also. I think they could possibly be of more use on this site than buried away in my library.
Cheers,
Bob

Hello Bob, I think you might be referring to David's article which was published in September/August 1970.
If that's the case, we have used that article as the base of the history page on this website and David added even more details to it.
I'm however interested in publishing any article related to any A.B.C. Vehicle or engine.

Yes, we are talking of the same article. Not much point repeating ourselves then is there. That's a relief as my scanning and general computing skills come under the "Tries hard but could do better" heading.
Nevertheless, the VMCC Journal does have a few ABC restoration articles. Is it worthwhile me going back through my back issues to find them?

Hallo All,
The series of articles about How to Bodge an ABC by Les Taverner (not the actual title of the pieces, but I didn't approve of much of his methodology!) that appeared in the VMCC Journal were:-
1. Jan 1989, 2. Mar 1989 3. Apr 1989 4. May 1989 5. May 1991 6. Jan 1992 7. Sept 1991 8. May 1992.
Some years ago I contributed my own series of seven articles to the VMCC Journal, entitled Learn Your ABC. They appeared Jan 2013 to July 2013, and contained some nuggets of interest and possible use to ABC Sopwith restorers, owners, and users.
For the record, David's articles in the V&V Magazine (price: five shillings!), from which he drew some of his material for his recent scholarly opus that appears on the website, were dated Sept. and Oct. 1970.
If requested, I could dig out some or all of the above references for Pasting on the Site.
Regards, Paul.
