| Description: | This month's image has been provided by Alex Todd and is of his ABC V4 "Bee" engine. Alex says that he "first saw this engine some 30 years ago when a good friend bought it and I helped him get it into his dining room! So fast fwd 30 years I was chatting to my friend last year and asked him if he still had the ABC v4 in his dining room he said yes its still where we put it! He told me he has never tried to start it. He also said the previous owner who had had it for circa 20 years had never started it either!" The plan for this lovely engine is to try to put it in a motorcycle frame and run it, but it is a long term project! Alex said that he hopes to start the engine probably in February/March time. "Once I hear engine run I will look at potential frames /wheels etc, a mate suggested a 3wheel car … I’m still thinking bike!" Alex has posted further details in the forum and I for one am looking forward to seeing how he gets on. |
